How does the Dafi filtering jug work

The Dafi filtering jug is made of two main components – a water tank and a filtering element with a properly selected cartridge. The water tanks come in different capacity (from 2 to 4 litres) and designs, depending on the model chosen, and are made of glass or plastic. All elements used in Dafi jugs undergo many tests; they are durable, made of the highest quality materials, approved for contact with drinking water, not containing BPA (bisphenol type A) and have appropriate approvals.

Water flows through the filtering part, and a filter that contains two types of substance: ion exchange resin and activated carbon is its heart. The combination of these substances makes the water thoroughly cleaned of organic and mechanical contamination. Chlorine and its derivatives are eliminated, which improves water’s taste properties so that it has no chlorine odour. Possible sediment, sand or rust that may appear in the water, e.g. from the old plumbing system, are also retained. The reduction of water hardness is an undoubted benefit, which means that no sludge appears in drinks or dishes, and household appliances do not require descaling and are not contaminated with a white coating.

How to start using the Dafi jug?

The jug after the purchase should be washed with a mild detergent (dishwashing liquid) and thoroughly rinsed. Then the user should place the filter in the jug and fill it twice with tap water, which then should be poured out (it can also be used for watering flowers). Thanks to this the filter is vented and rinsed properly. The subsequent fillings no longer require any additional operations; simply fill the jug with tap water as needed.

The filter should be replaced every month. The used filter is fully biodegradable, so it does not cause contamination of the natural environment.

The use of Dafi jugs is therefore very simple, economical and pro-ecological, which is why they are so valued and liked and appear in so many households.
